Every ten years the villagers of Oberammergau put on their renowned Passion Play. This has happened since the village was preserved from the plague in the 17th century. Hotel Erika ffers spacious rooms, a restaurant, an extensive spa area, 2 pools and an outdoor swimming pond. An extended breakfast buffet is available every morning. Look out for Mozart’s famous Birth House, Mozart’s Residence, the Getreidegasse (Salzburg’s famous shopping lane) and the Cathedral

Hotel Seinz – Bad Kohlgrub – 02 Nights

Hotel Seinz is one of the official hotel on the Oberammergau programme. It is located in the peaceful village of Bad Kohlgrub which is approx. 15mins drive to the centre of Oberammergau. All rooms have countryside views, a seating area, a safe and a private bathroom with shower. Free WiFi is available in the public areas.

13th August  – The Passion Play Oberammergau 2020


 In the middle of the Thirty Years War, after months of suffering and death from the plague, the Oberammergauers swore an oath that they would perform the “Play of the Suffering, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ” every ten years. The tradition, maintained and experienced almost without interruption for over 380 years, of putting on the play about the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ every ten years is regarded as the most important passion play in the world.
